U.S. shoppers are absolutely losing it over a British lager, thanks to the star power of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The dynamic duo recently took over Wrexham Lager, sparking a stateside frenzy after their successful stint with Wrexham AFC, catapulting the team from the National League to League One. Following their investment, the beer is now hitting the U.S. and Canada markets.
Constellation Brands sells Svedka vodka to Sazerac
Constellation Brand acquired Svedka Vodka in 2009. The American Vodka is known for its bright branding and bold flavored Vodka such as blue raspberry, cherry limeade, cucumber lime, mango pineapple, strawberry lemonade, raspberry lemonade, citron, and peach. The brand has also branched out into RTD’s such as with Svedka Spiked Seltzer and Svedka Tropics Tea Spritz. Constellation Brands is divesting the vodka brand as part of its efforts to focus on higher end wine and spirits.

While the category is holding its own in the convenience channel, boosting wine and liquor sales can be challenging for operators due to the hurdles they face that grocery, mass, and club stores do not.
Lack of merchandising space, which can result in a limited wine and spirit inventory, is one of them, according to Jay Hornback, manager of convenience channel sales for New York-based Beam Suntory, the 2024 Convenience Store News Category Captain for wine and liquor.
