Setting a Minimum for Credit Card Transactions in a Liquor Store…
Are You Selling Alcohol Responsibly?

We aren’t going to get into the pros versus cons of each, but rather, we’d like to focus on one method: requiring a minimum purchase and the effect that it could have on the liquor industry.

Having a Cash Price and a Card Price is
A Win-Win! (for you and customers)
How Much Did YOU LOSE Last Month in Credit Card Fees by NOT Being on Dual Pricing?
$3,000? $5,000? $10,000?
‘Why is there a different price for using my card now?’
“We’re rolling out some new pricing strategies that in the end will allow us to be more competitive on National Brands and offer lower prices in general, along with Loyalty savings. An added bonus is that those that need to save every day, on every item, can do so with Cash. It’s actually really exciting. It’s not something you’re going to want to miss!”
With Dual Pricing, customers get an additional way to save EVERY day, not just on “Sr. Tuesday”, “Wine Wednesday”, etc… “Save w/ Cash 7 days a week”.
Competitors not doing Dual Pricing do not have pricing flexibility.
What would happen if you could…
- Lower the regular price of Tito’s by $1 a bottle, for example
- Avoid the next price increases that the store down the street can’t
