THC compliant processing may be an afterthought for you where you’ve simply decided to take your Reps “word and a wink” on, but it’s worth taking more thought and action on as it is more complex and serious than face value.
Here in Minnesota, many retailers, including Liquor Stores, have the ability to capitalize on the THC craze (beverage, gummy, etc…). The issue is not finding product to sell, or even the shelf space to sell it from. The issue is rather “Will I go to jail if I take a credit card for these products?!?!”
Think about it. There are questions about THC sales being legal federally and the moment you touch a credit card you are moving money across state lines.
Many retailers accept cash only for THC purchases because of their legitimate concerns.
While this mitigates the murkiness of “can I?” you are limiting your opportunity. For the majority of liquor stores ~80% of their sales are credit cards.
