“A bipartisan bill that would allow strong beer sales in Minnesota grocery stores has the support of the chair of the Senate committee that controls liquor laws.

Senate Commerce Committee Chair Matt Klein, DFL-Mendota Heights, said he will push a change in state liquor law that falls short of full beer and wine sales in grocery stores but does open up access to beer. Klein said he will work with the most-active Senate GOP proponent of grocery store beer and wine sales: Sen. Karin Housely, R-Stillwater.”

Kansas lawmakers introduce bill to legalize booze deliveries

“Kansas lawmakers have introduced a bill that would legalize the home delivery of liquor and malt beverages at the request of Walmart.

The Senate Committee on Federal and State Affairs introduced Senate Bill 253 to legalize the home delivery of alcohol. The legislation was requested by Mike O’Neal on behalf of Walmart Stores, Inc.

The bill would authorize the home delivery of alcohol by licensed retailers, licensed clubs, drinking establishments, restaurants and third-party delivery services such as DoorDash or EatStreet.”

SC Lawmakers to waive $3K Sunday sales fee for ‘mom and pop’ liquor stores

“Alcohol delivery and Sunday liquor sales in South Carolina would hurt “mom and pop” liquor stores, some critics say. In response, under a proposal, lawmakers removed a hefty fee needed to sell on Sundays for small retailers. In a renewed push to expand access to alcohol beverages, two proposals — H. 4231 and H. 4364 — sailed through a House Judiciary panel Tuesday, paving the way for consumers to purchase alcohol, beer and wine via curbside pickup or home delivery, including on Sunday.”
