Foreign beers are beating domestic heavyweights, booze giant Constellation Brands says

The Modelo maker reported first quarter earnings earlier this week that beat Wall Street’s expectations, largely due its beer business which lifted sales even as demand for its wine and spirits fell flat.

RTD Friendly Bills

The North Carolina Senate last week passed SB 527, a bill that contains a number of consumer-friendly measures including lowering the tax rate for spirits ready-to-drink cocktails (RTDs), allowing cocktails to-go and delivery of mixed beverages, and permitting holiday sales. The bill now heads to Governor Roy Cooper for his signature.

The Pennsylvania House Liquor Control Committee passed Senate Bill 688, a bill to allow low alcohol-by-volume (ABV) spirits ready-to-drink cocktails (RTDs) to be sold from certain retail outlets that already sell beer and wine products with the same or lower alcohol contents. The bill now heads to the full House for consideration.

Greenwald, who occasionally creates special beers for unique occasions, decided to launch a festive series of lemongrass-infused lager beers as a gesture of support and appreciation.

“We love our Cloud Retailer point of sale here at Barleys Retail Liquor Store. It’s great for monitoring sales, margins and inventory.

The back office feature is excellent because we can do things away from the business as well.

Our employees love the user interface since it is easy to navigate and can process sales quickly. It makes training new employees a breeze. We highly recommend this point of sale.”
