DoorDash Expands Alcoholic Beverage Delivery as Aggregators Push for Booze Spending?

“DoorDash is making beer, wine and spirits delivery available to more locations, as across the industry, leading aggregators compete for consumers’ alcoholic beverage spending.

The United States’ leading aggregator announced the expansion of its alcohol delivery business to New Jersey, noting in the news release that, between 2021 and 2022, alcoholic beverage sales more than doubled.”

Target Is Banking On You Having Booze-Less Holidays This Year 

“For as much as alcohol is associated with gatherings around the holidays, you’d think it would be an odd time for a store to go all-in on booze-free drinks.

Target thinks otherwise.

Alcohol-free Drinks Added To Target Stores

According to CNN, Target has solidified a partnership with Sechey, an online seller of alcohol-free spirits and wines. The drinks will be added to nearly 450 Target stores nationwide.

This isn’t just a push prior to the holidays. It sounds as though the alcohol-free spirits will be a mainstay at Target moving forward.”

Brewery owners say enough is enough with New Jersey’s antiquated liquor laws

“Gov. Phil Murphy has conditionally vetoed a bill that would have eased restrictions on New Jersey breweries, distilleries and wineries.

Some brewery owners told CBS New York on Tuesday the bill would have helped boost business.

Leoppold Sawadogo grew up watching his mother make beer. That’s what got me interested in making beer,”

But he says strict liquor laws in New Jersey are pushing business owners like him out.

“We need to make it easy for people, you know, to do business,” Sawadogo said.”
